I fought several times using the battle bones. There are 3 constant air icons and 1-3 physical icons.
This info was gathered by using the 'Battle Bones' 12 times in combat with a 55 booster pet while using a leaf shield and a species attack each time.
The results were:
3 air, 3 physical
3 air, 2 physical
3 air, 1 physical
3 air, 3 physical
3 air, 2 physical
3 air, 1 physical
3 air, 3 physical
3 air, 1 physical
3 air, 2 physical
3 air, 2 physical
3 air, 3 physical
