Anyone remember this show? It was a secondary show created by Matt Groening, the same person who spearheaded The Simpsons. It was extremely side-splitting up until it was cancelled in 2003 on FOX. Now it runs on Cartoon Network in syndication.
Did anyone watch the series?
Yeah I loved futurama. I think FOX should reair it. It was really amazing and when it went off so many people were mad. i don't see how it can be unsuccessful with all the people who liked it...
I sometimes watch it but I didn't think it was that great...maybe I'm hard to humour but they still air it on teletoon. Family guy is better and there are so many comedy cartoons fighting for simpsons-like fame, I think futurama just couldn't compete.
Are you kidding me? Family Guy may be humorous but it is in no way even close to being compared to Futurama. The main problem with the show is that it uses humor completely unrelated to the plot to get laughs out of the audience while the jokes on Futurama at least try to stay consistent in advancing character development and the storyline itself.
If you've watched the recent episodes of South Park, they really unravel Family Guy for what kind of comedy it is.
Family Guy is great
after watching family guy, I tried to go back to Futurama, but it just wasn't shocking enough (I like the kind of risky humour more than in Futurama)
Futurama gives me maybe 1 or 2 laughs and I enjoy it, but Family Guy is the only thing that make me laugh out loud
The only negative thing is that somtimes they're not subtle enough with the filler material
Like when Peter sings a song that lasts about 4 mins, thats 1/5 of an episode >_<
Futurama is obviously more plot orientated than Family Guy also
I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy South Park too, just I can't get it anywhere =/

Luckily, they're showing South Park on UPN 44 now. But it's on pretty late at night, so you'll have to cut back on sleep unfortunately.

Yeah, futurama was great. Some episodes I enjoyed way more than others, but that's true of most shows...
It's also syndicated in Canada by Teletoon.
I watch Futurama whenever I can...usually when ignoring/forgetting about the other stuff I should actually be doing.

I thought it was alright, made me giggle, some clever stories, but I'm not gonna miss it. Family Guy, South Park [which is stupendously clever now] and Simpsons are so better it's uncomprehensible
