Depends on what you've got that can attack it.
If you don't have bombers, you could need to send a lot of ships, unless you're willing to lose a few transports.
You could send a fleet of 17 battleships to attack the planet as an initial fleet, and a second fleet with more than 17 battleships and your transports.

you can use dragoism to help calculate your attacks. Personally I think the calculator is badly programmed but it is accurate and very helpful!
