The way I understand it, the requirement for time to be logged as "time on line" is the same as the requirement to be "online" according to the who's online feature: You have to have dome something which involves a page loading in the last 15 minutes. So if you leave a window open, it only counts for 15 minutes after you leave.

If that was the case, I (and many other people) would have online times of months or years. I'm fairly certain that obiwanpi has it right.
