I don't think so. It's far more plausible that it simply tracks the last time you "logged in," rather than any raw amount of time really spent online. And since most of us don't bother to log out, we've spent a lot of time online. Which kind of makes me wonder how long it is until the cookies expire (I don't think they do, but I don't remember why I logged out a week and a half ago).
