The day has, in fact, been on Neo for the past couple of years. In fact, it has even been recorded on the Neopian calendar. I believe the reason is of some sort of server maintenance, though I am unsure. However, it definately has nothing to do with Altador and the expected war. Remember, half price day still takes effect!
yea, war rumors start from threads like this, not from TNT taking a day off...although i wouldnt mind a war, the last plot didnt revolve around fighting
3rd march 2004 : tnt planned to synch the news so it came up early, by cancelling 3rd march news, it worked, only for several first days
3rd march 2005 & 2006 : they followed their own trend they made
Besides, there was news...but just go look at last year's news. Just one of their little jokes.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with the war or anything. I think it's just a day TNT just takes off and stack off and be lazy.
