- have a new icon added to weapons which would indicate their dual/multiple functions and refine the advanced sreach mechanism to recognize the dual/multiple tag to produce weapons in that sub-class
I'm interested in this idea and offer my assistance to the endeavour.

The don't call it Multiple Duty because it doesn't roll off the tongue nearly as well as Dual Duty. The number of duties it does is irrelevant, it just sounds good
