Official, approved by Forte.

This was taken from Robert and Autumn Elf from PPT with consent.

Introduction:
This was a popular contest in PPT, and those of you who go there will know that it is being hosted on there as well.

It's concept is to see who makes the best subtext. Subtext, as I'm sure most of you know, is the caption in a signature, usually reflecting on the signature.

How to Play:
This is very simple. Every round lasts about five days. The contestants have three days to get their entries in. (Not too hard, just one line of text). The judges have two-three days to finish their ratings. However, it would be preferred if the judges could finish their ratings ASAP, then we can move on to the next round faster. The judges should judge every subtext out of a total of ten.

The subtext has several aspects the judges will consider.

Lenth: How long is it? If it's too long, it'll need a fade. Depending on how much space is left in the signature, you may be only able to fit 2 words, or perhaps an entire sentence. Dont make it too long however.

Fit?: Does it fit the signature? If a signature has a butterfly picture on it, and you come up with the subtext - 'I like chips', that obviously does not reflect the butterfly.

Wording: How is it worded? If it's an elegant signature, you'd need a very elegant subtext, which means it would be best if it didn't rhyme, or say something really silly. Try to make the person reading it laugh, or try to capture the signature. Try not to make jokes or references to something in particular, because not everyone may understand.

Survival?
Yes, this game will use another system. All the contestants will be divided into two different groups every round. The group with the lowest Point Average will be the one that will have the elimination.

Rules:
1. Subtexts must be 100% your own. No quotes from ANYTHING. Songs, books, etc.
2. If you do not submit a subtext for a round, you will be automatically disqualified.
3. If you know you are going to miss a round, PM me, and I will PM you a signature in advance.
4. If the judging time has passed, and the judges still haven't rated. I will post the next round anyways.
5. I reserve the right to kick anyone out of the contest.
6. Please do not post on the game thread after you have been eliminated. Until the game ends, or near the end.

If you wish, you may submit a signature to me for the next round. However, you can only do this if you are a judge, or not participating in the game anymore.

Previous Winners

If you have won a previous subtext king and queen, you will only be allowed to participate up to, but not including the last round. This is so that more people can have a chance at winning.

Subtexts Due: Feb. 10

NOTE:
The team that will have the elimination is the one with the lowest total score. So if someone has not submitted, you will lose the points for their subtexts COMPLETELY! So try to get everyone on your team to submit a subtext. You may not change your subtexts once you have submitted it. If there are an odd number of contestants, I will take the average of the team, round it to the nearest .5 and add it to their score.
Um...

A beautiful start to a beautiful day.

I really can't come up with anything decent for this one. ._.

(yes, this could be a sunset as well, but I was told this would have no bearing. Toungue)
Quote:a new day dawns

Yes, I know the "a" isn't capitalized. It would look better that way o_o

Teams, eh? Maybe I won't get knocked out the first round this time Toungue
WIS, we are still allowed to use fades right?

Quote:Breaking down the day..*fade*one light at a time..

You know, like daybreak, and it normally includes first light, so I tried to incorperate all of that into the subtext.
Yes, fades are allowed. Smile

People who have submitted subtext are bolded on the team list. Smile
Eek! We can't change our subtexts once we submit them!? That is rough WIS! Well...I hope I don't come up with anything better...

Quote:As one journey draws to an end...*fade*...another waits to begin

This one was tough, but I was thinking along the lines of each day being a journey, and when one day ends another starts...
In these rolling waves of clouds
I find a strange, warm traquility...

(two lines)

Eh, I can't think of anything else = =.
Every ray of light that breaks through *fade* Is a new ray of hope for us all
Quote:The sanguine sun lingers to an end.. *fades* .. my end approaches

Quote: The Start of the Day's Purple Haze

Yeah, I know, it stinks,
