well, ive never played werewolf before, but it seems popular and i like the idea....so can someone point me to a rules thread or something like that and maybe i can learn it and join in the next game (probably after the ff7)
A good link to some info that might help you understand how Werewolf game work can be found here: Rules

Hope that helps!
thank you...i think i may join your final fantasy game and try to understand it better through experience....although i dont quite yet understand how a theme works with the game
Ok, as long as you understand the basic concepts about voting, roles, and that kind of stuff, you should do fine. Just remember to ask me if you have any questions.
A theme works with a game by altering the roles in the game and the stories posted with day/night etc around the theme.

Let's look at a Healer for example, to get a better idea, I've added a few extra things to the role...

Quote:Role : Healer

You are the healer, each night you may use your Mystic powers to shield a player from the attacks of the beasts in the wild.

1. Each night, submit a list of five names. The closest to the top of the list who is still alive at the start of night will be protected from Wolf attacks. Other attacks will still work however.

2. Three times during the game, you may protect a player from both wolf and mafia attacks. However, you will not be able to protect somebody the next night

3. You cannot protect yourself.

----------

Secret Power - Evil Blocking

You may use this power to do one of two things, if you choose 1, you may not choose 2 later (and vice versa). Your decision is binding and final

1. Once during the game, you may stop all nightly kills. You must submit this during the daytime for it to be effective

2. Once during the game, you may stop all members of the wolf team from exercising any portion of their role (including the ability to vote). They may post and use secret powers however. This ability lasts from when you activate it until the end of night

The may then choose to reword or rewrite the role, changing things to suit the theme a bit better. For example...

Quote:Role : Lego Commander

You're the Lego Commander, one of the most fiercesome fighters in the Lego Legion

1. Every night, you may use your Government funding to establish a Lego barricade around a player's house. That player will be unable to leave their house, and additionally, nothing will be able to get into their house, preventing any player from targetting them. (Dreamers can still target the protected player as they target them from their own house)

2. Twice during the game, you may build a barricade around two players' houses, due to the shortage of lego bricks and the amount of lego bricks required to construct two barricades, they each will only have a 60% chance of protecting the players.

3. You may not build a lego barricade around yourself, due to the oath you swore to protect the public of Legopia.

----------

Secret Power -- Milatary Laser

You have a secret army laser which only you have access to. Once during the game, you may use it to either...

1. Burn a hole in somebody's shield, reducing it to half its size
-or-
2. Burn a hole in somebody's bag, causing them to lose any secret powers in their posession.

You will not be informed if the laser destroyed any shield or secret powers.

A very helpful werewolf site can be found here
Er TDG, Ryguy already linked there Toungue.

Don't worry, I am running the next game after Ryguy's and it won't have any complex theame to it. Just standard WW. Of course... it will have a few twists, but thats all im going to tell you now ;-)
Yeah, but I wanted to link it too! It's not my fault I didn't see the thread till after Ryguy had posted! I want a golden goose daddy! *runs off crying and eating mysterious blue lollies*
Speaking of golden geese TDG, any chance you'll ever run DDG again Toungue
Ohhh...I had forgotten all about that game...

I'll think about it...
