I say single heal. First off, lets take these factors into consideration.
Player S(Single) Maxed Single Heal and Haste
while
Player G(Group) Maxed Group Heal and Haste
Now, Single Heal is x2 faster than Group Heal to begin with, and then the more people you have to heal with Group Heal, the slower it becomes. So, basically, if you have to heal all your guys 90hp, you'll go about x3 slower than Single Heal.
So, lets say you get Grouped Attacked twice in a row, max level. (64 hp x2=128hp)
So everyone is down 128hp.
Player G: Group Heal! 90hp heal everyone!
Each member is down: 38 hit points.
Total: 152 hit points.
Each member has been healed: 90hp.
Total: 360 hit points.
Player S: Single Heal Mipsy, Velm, And Talinia!
Rohane is still down 128 hit points. Total still lost: 128 hit points.
M,V, and T have been healed: 128 hit points + 22 extra if they were hurt before that.
Total: 384 hit points.
Now, you might say, I just about disproved my own math. Rohane, for player S, is still down 128 hit points while Player G has him perfectly safe at only 38 hit points lost.
Well, first off, its Rohane's job to soak up that damage. That's why he has the highest health. You want to save the guys with the lowest hit points. Also, Rohane's turn is probably coming up soon, giving him time to use a potion if he must, or just wait for Velm's turn coming up quick to heal him up.
And I think what annoys me the most is that people say "use Group Heal!" Without really ever trying Single Heal.
But I'm also not saying I hate Group Heal. Heck, it's a great skill. Perfect to use when I'm lazy and I don't feel like really paying attention. Yeah, I use it.
I use both, really. I max Single and get Group just high enough to cover any group attack (level 11: 66hp)
Uh, yeah. Don't pay attention to me, I usually rant on and on about Single Heal like this.
What about you?
