Ummm...yeah, Im kidna stuck on Giant malevolent chomby here....so what should I do, I noticed the two BEST weapon to use agaisnt him is.... Shovel plus(50%) and Ultra reflectorb(50%).........and if things thought liek I thought it would go....it wouldnt be hard to kick that chombies butt....only problem is....I EXPECTED the chomby to often use the SOS and Seasonal Attack pea and go berserk on me...if he did that...the battle would have been a breeze...I'd whip him like a ninja
Only problem is......I foguht the chomby TWICE and it NEVER even did a SINGLE turn where it even used its SOS and Seasonal attack pea in the same turn at all!! He only berserked me ONCE...and most troubling is that every turn, he either just uses Attack pea and T-tear, or SOS and T-tear...he's always using T-tear...
So my question is.....any of you have a good start to beating him?? My weapons are all mediocre...or worse, its an SOA, Fungus ray, HP..scroll of freezing
, and the 50% reflectors...
What should I do....Im gunna go find out what I steal fromt he chomby....hopefully its that T-Tear or his Scorchstone....
You steal the T-tear, that should help you win after, maybe get some muffins and freeze him and use them too if you have good boost.
Heh! I've only fought him once, and on the first turn I used shovel plus, purple sticky hand and burrow or sink, I forget which. He berserked and used the pea and SoS and slaughtered me. Also, to add insult to injury, my sticky hand missed.
In this battle, reflection, faerie abilities, and stealing are your best friends.
Battle Set:
Giant Hungry Malevolent Chomby has no good defense items, except for Thyoras Tear. Steal it and the Chomby loses the ability to use it. Just be glad your opponent dosen't have H4K as well....
- Sword of Apocalypse: This is your main offensive weapon. Since GHMC has no defensive weapons, this is quite effective.
- Honey Potion: This makes a decent bomb, as you have no other option for your budget.
- Shovel Plus: Your first reflector. This reflects the earth attack from Seasonal Attack Pea.
- Ultra Dark Reflectorb: Your second reflector. This deflects the dark attack from Sword of Skardsen.
- Scroll of Freezing: You'll need a 100% heal to succeed, and even with that you might not....
- Lucky Robots Foot: A full heal is the best avaliable for your battle.
- Thick Smoke Bomb: A free half-turn to do whatever you want to GHMC might help.
- Purple Sticky Hand: Another free half-turn to do whatever you want to GHMC might help.
- Healing Vapour, Regeneration, or Restore
- Sink
- Steam Shield
Note: OSA = Offensive Species Ability
- First Turn: Use PSH + Shovel Plus + Sink. If PSH misses, or Shovel Plus breaks, simply start the battle over at full health and with a replaced battle set.
- Second Turn: Use Scroll of Freezing + TTear + OSA. Giant Ghostkerchief cannot damage you.
- Third Turn: Use SoA + HP + Beserk! GHMC should be considerably weakened.
- Fourth Turn: Use Shovel Plus + UDR + Steam Shield. This provides sufficient defense against both of GHMC's main weapons. If GHMC heals, either continue to try your luck, or start over the battle with full health.
- Fifth Turn and up: Use Shovel Plus + UDR + Defend. Use OSA instead of Defend if you have plenty of HP to spare. Use Regeneration (Medium) instead of Defend when you think it would be more effective. This should eventually kill GHMC. If GHMC heals, either continue to try your luck, or start over the battle with full health.
- When one reflector breaks: Use SoA + Intact Reflector + Defend. This should eventually kill GHMC. If GHMC heals, either continue to try your luck, or start over the battle with full health.
- When both reflectors break: Use SoA + TSB + Beserk. If you have already used TSB, use SoA + Defend, instead. If GHMC heals, either continue to try your luck, or start over the battle with full health.
- Healing: Use TSB + LRF + Defend. If you have already used TSB, use SoA + LRF + Defend, instead. If GHMC heals, either continue to try your luck, or start over the battle with full health.
Do not expect to succeed on your first trial with this plan. If you wish, replace Honey Potion with your Fungus Ray and use it on the third turn and with SoA in the "When both reflectors break" section.
Thx for those tips......except those have been the exact strategy I've beeen using......almost exact same weapons too....except instead of smoke bomb I just use downsize...I got enuff hp....but this giant chomby just fights like a wuss!! He heals almost every turn and berserk with either the pea or the sword....even more frustrating is that he almost NEVER use both his attacking weapon and berserk at the same time!!Always the Jade SS plus something that attacks....and just that is plenty enough to slowly kill me off....Im thinking of searching for an item that could help negate his 2 weapons.....oh it better not be G-shield...
Im having enough difficulties savin for a h4000 for like 3 years....yet it just keeps on inflating
P.S ever notice how the chomby is also equipped wiht worthless junk like fireball staff and million degree sword, but it never EVER uses them?

Sorry, but that's the best I can think of. All of your offensive weapons are pure attack, so you'll have to rely on your luck to win the battle.
