Gosh and here I thought you were going to hold the same opinion of the show that I had and everybody else I've talked to about it. I think the show is ridiculous. There is no point to it, at least with shows like Jeapordy and Millionaire the people are getting money for useless knowledge. On here they are getting money at them for guessing. And the whole banker thing is just hilarious. "Oh goodness, that's the banker calling... I wonder what his offer will be!" Oh well, to each his own, right?
Oh, and that doesn't even LOOK like Howie Mandell (SP?) ... I would get up there and ask him to do Bobby. That would be entertainment then!

*agrees with above post* I saw it for 5 minutes, and thought it was pretty dumb.

Most people don't watch television for their educational value (5% of American adults can't read, 75% don't believe in evolution, and 25% believe the sun revolves around the earth) that's why TV producers target people looking for entertainment value, and I myself personally enjoy people blowing a lot of money and going home with next to nothing.

I wonder... if you ended up winning 1 penny on that show... and the gov. taxes you on what you win... how much do you really win? O_O
"75% don't believe in evolution"... hence the government is trying to change biology classes with getting rid of evolution and replacing it with "Intelligent design"
"25% believe the sun revolves around the earth"... and yet that was proven long ago to be false o.o;

Ya know yosh, I asked my dad the same thing though. What would you ACTUALLY win if you got the 1 penny one. We didn't really know. But now thinking about it, doesn't a money prize have to be over like 400 dollars for it to be taxed? I could be making that up but I think I heard that somewhere?

There's such a small chance of winning a penny, and everyone can easily get a bank offer from $50,000 to $150,000.

Ahh yes, sychtos, but WHAT IF it came down to the last two cases. The one you're holding and the one that the model is holding. And all that was left was the penny and the million. I sure as heck wouldn't risk it and I would take the banker's offer. But I KNOW somebody out there would have the mindset "It's free money, might as well go for the gold" and would risk it and go for the million. If they didn't have it, they would be stuck with the penny.
Highly unlikely, but it could happen and I'm sure somebody out there would go for it, too.

The odds are always with you to take the Bank's offer if you have the penny and the million dollars left. Think about it like this:
In the beginning, there's a 1 in 26 chance you pick the 1 million dollars, so it's most likely that a model will be holding it. So, if the 1 million and 1 penny are left, there's a high chance that the model is holding it.
Also, since the banks offer with those 2 left would be around 500,000... I'd take the bank's offer
