The new movie just came out. It looks like a really good remake. Anyone going to see it?

I went and saw it. It was ok, but I thought it was a bit on the comical side. Anytime Kong went on a rampage it was kind of funny =\

I heard it was really good, but I believe it was truly overhyped. 3 hours is a bit much... plus I heard the dialogue was pretty bad too. The special effects were great, but then with computers, it's not that hard for directors to make those anymore.

Agreed. Special effects are special when its a scene or one thing in a movie but when CG is used in nearly EVERY scene of a lot of new movies it tends to lose its 'special'ness and just become something that's in every movie. In my opinion, special effects are nothing to hype about in movies anymore. Not until they come up with something revolutionary again.

I found the movie boring. Watched it and most of the begining didn't even show kingkong. About an hour till they actually showed kong. I seriously went asleep most of the movie.

I saw it a while back and it was a good movie. Sme things were exaggerated but theres a huge gorilla so it wasn't that weird. I haven't seen the original so I had no idea what was going to happen. Kinda made the movie better in my opinion.

I didn't think it was that boring but I do agree with you that it took them too long just to show King Kong.

I didn't like the part where they got to Skull Island and found those ugly native people. That part was too freaky.

Best part was probaly when King Kong fought all those T-Rex.

Didn't like the movie at all. King kong took too long to show-up and also most of the movie was made from computers....

Very dissapointing in my opinion...

i liked it better than Narnia and Harry Potter... =/ *is alone here* =/

wasnt that long at all really... i wouldnt mind if it was another hour or so longer

-the natives were freaky o.0
-the roles were played well
-some funny moments, some exciting scenes

altogether good movie

i went for the movie yesterday. honestly didnt like it. kong doesnt make an appearance for like a hour into the movie. then it really drags until they get him back to civilization. and after that too his fight against the army and air force is also too long IMHO. the special effects r good. but extending the movie into three hours just to show off how good u r in special effects is a serious waste of time

Hehehe, fighting the T-Rex. I went and watched it with my dad a couple of days ago, and when they were all in the vines, he was like, "teeheeheehee".. which was kind of scary. But, I think it was a good movie ^_^ But yeah, 3 hours is a bit long. I'm sure they could've cut it down quite a bit. I love how that guy is SOOO obsessive
