My favourite anime alltime has been Magic Knights Rayearth, second coming Sailor moon.
And about manga, I read Dragon ball, and Detective Conan (AKA Case Closed)
In order of awesomeness
HunterxHunter (Rules!!!!)
Naruto (except filler. Ugh)
One Piece
Bleach
Death Note
FMA
DBZ (not anymore, but just for old times *nostalgia*)
I prefer subbed. Dubs usually get the voices wrong. Or what I think the voice should be wrong (I don't imagine characters talking in Japanese, so they can't mess that up). Also why I prefer manga.
Last night was the start of semester showing; voting was Le Chevalier D'eon vs. Love Hina vs. Outlaw Star. Voting was done by rating each one from 0-10. Results:

Le Chevalier D'eon: 39x
Outlaw Star: 2xx
Love Hina: 1xx

Included on the ballot was whether to see The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya in broadcast order or in chronological order. Broadcast order won by a fairly large margin.

So this semester will consist of:
Le Chevalier D'eon (looks like it'll be good)
Rumbling Hearts (meh, a serious Valentines Day marathon instead of the usual romantic comedy)
Noein (supposed to be good, but hard to tell much about it from the first episode)
The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya (in broadcast order)
Bottle Fairy (Judging from the first episode, looks like total garbage)

I also saw an episode of GitS:SAC a couple nights ago. Wow, the dub is worse than I remember it as.
Nice choice. Le Chevalier D'eon is a very interesting series.

I'm a little taken a back that Outlaw Star got only 2 votes. That would have been a good addition to the line up. You can always place it in if Noein doesn't level up for you all- it's an alright series...more or less- Curious but short of taking you in and keeping interest. Or Bottle Fairy which I've never heard of.

Hmm...in terms of a Valentine's Day marathon I'd have proposed pulling out Makoto Shinkai's Voices of A Distant Star and The Place Promised in Our Early Days. Both movies are captivating to say the least. Though very short, Voices tops ...Early Days. In terms of animation it's the other way around yet Voices keeps in there visually especially when you consider the fact that Shinkai produced all of it himself using his several year old Mac and an old version of Adobe Photoshop. The ending to Voices makes it deserving of being called a masterpiece. Completely poetic.

Included with Voices is the short She and Her Cat which is also pleasant in its own right. Too bad ADV fumbled on their promise to bring in 5 Centimeters Per Second in December and pushed the release to March 4th.

Though not befitting to the whole "togetherness" feel of Valentine's Day, 5 Centimeters Per Second will either severely depress you or give you the courage (in the guise of fear of loss) to go out and confess to that girl you had your eyes on for the longest time. The whole movie is broken up into three short stories which span the time of the main character's life. The second one in the trio, Cosmonaut, focuses on the outer-inside view of high school classmate Kanae and her struggle with the main character whom she loves but can't bring herself to confess. Watch Cosmonaut and it'll certainly cause an emotional rise each and every time you see it. As much as I love the movie, I've avoided seeing it for a while because of that yet at the same time I want to watch it.

I wouldn't consider him the next Miyazaki but Shinkai has proven already that he's a weaver of tales that pulls on the heart strings.
lol, you seem to have misunderstood me. By 2xx, I mean that I don't remember the exact number and it could be 238 or 275 or 221, etc.

The Place Promised in Our Early Days was shown 2 years ago, so it wouldn't be shown again so soon.
I would say mine are:

Naruto
FMA
One Piece
Death Note
DBZ

which are all the ones I know...

They were all very good and still are! Naruto is my favorite and the only one i keep readying the manga on but almost all anime is great!

Oooh nice! I'm currently watching Le Chevalier D'eon. So far it's pretty good, but the story is so complex! It's much more confusing than GitS ever was x.x

B...but! Rumbling Hearts is so good! So tragic *sniff*

So, I have a review of what is easily in my top 5 series of all time. Speed Grapher!

Le Chevalier D'eon wasn't bad, but there wasn't much to it other than the various plot twists. 7.4/10

Last night was This Ugly Yet Beautiful World instead of Rumbling Hearts due to (almost) no one wanting to see it. XD This Ugly Yet Beautiful World is quite heavy on the fanservice. The title, the butterfly logo, and a couple events about 2/3 of the way through made me think it would have some depth and have a non-cliche resolution, but I was disappointed. The concept of psychological egoism is referenced, but it doesn't go anywhere with it. Nevertheless, it wasn't bad, I was just disappointed that it had wasted potential. 7.9/10
Avatar is probably one of the most underrated shows. It's on Nick so people assume it's for children when the plot quality surpasses Lord of the Rings and Star Wars combined. Book 2 were the Avatar crew's Magnus Opus but Season 3 is being hit down by video pirates Cry

I personally don't classify Avatar under the category of anime though.

On-topic, despite breaking virtually every single one of the rules I have in my head with regard to anime (harem, fanservice-y, etc), Seto no Hanayome was so hilarious I enjoyed it thoroughly. Can't say I'm not ashamed of that fact. Toungue
