Is there any one version that has more or different areas and things than another? I was just wondering since some people have foreign language screenshots and have never seen any of the places or enemys in them..
Korea and Japan has always the newest maps and stuff. I think Korea is faster. Then, its Taiwan and China with MapleSea. Then its global. Global is slowest. Taiwan has lumbrimum (sp?) So is China. MapleSea doesn't have it yet. I don't think so.
So thats it!
Well Korea has most of the worlds first its just Japan gets lots of stuff that are JMS exclusive such as cursed scrolls, Jipang, and several other things. Then its as you listed except Maplesea is 2-3 months ahead of Global because they partnered with Asiasoft several months before NX Games partered for Global.
However if you can't read the language I don't suggest anything other than Global or Sea for you unless you've played plenty.
Korean MS has Ludibrium also. I think because Wizet and Nexon are korean companies. And so differs the number of servers. Global has three (Broa, Scania and Bera) but KMS has 17 servers (i wont name them all here but if you are curious, pm me) And KMS has the ranking system (seperated in the whole Maplestory Ranking, the server ranking, job ranking, and fame ranking)
No Wizet is in fact the Korean Compant. Nexon is a japanese company that is licensed to make/distrubute JMS to the japanese people. CMS and JMS both have the rankings and JMS also has like 10 or so different servers. (I've never counted cause I"m lazy) CMS is pay to play though from what I've heard. Its just that most of the new places are made in JMS/KMS and then are passed on unless it will be JMS only such as cursed scrolls/Jipang and some other things. Basically KMS has been out the longest then JMS and CMS then Taiwan(I really know nothing about this one >_<

then Sea and Global. Course Sea and global started together in beta but then split into east/west and then Sea got a sponsor first and thus are several months ahead of Global. Thats basically how most things break down although the number of servers is more based on the popularity in the region. Once the newest server gets past so many people regularly using it they will open up a new server for newer players although this obviously hasn't worked in global very well cause most all the new players still join the more crowded servers >_<
Hurray to KMS and it's ranking one player ^_^
