 my apples, my beautiful apples, anyway, what's happened to the forums, everything is different
finalhit Wrote:Due to some issues with the old forums, we have switched over to this new one:

several things
-No more boings, this one doesn't support it. Also, studies have shown, it causes more problems than fun. We may have a new pet system coming, but it will not work based on a currency. Please note keyword "may".
-The conversion date was a bit old. We have been planning on moving for quite a bit, and is basically testing this for certain issues. When I converted the database records, it was about 3-4 weeks ago, thus, everything is older. New users may need to re-sign up.
-some posts may look weird. This forum doesn't work the same way as the old one, thus, some BB codes would look as raw HTML.
-script kiddies - get a life! buy some friends, volunteer in a hospital or something.

Yeah thats about it.

Wonders who conducted the so-called "study"... Ninja
Those who realised that boing created too many noobs who stayed simply for the boing. IDB is way better off without it =)
My immediate reponse to the topic title was "Someone set us up the bomb." Toungue
All your boing are belong to no one.
That explains the change o_o

*wastes his life*

Whats the reputation thing btw o.o?
I heard some annoyance hacked the forums so you guys just decided to switch over with the last backed up DB.

Anyways this seems too much like Vbulletin for my liking, i prefer IPB and phpBB...
The switch was already in the process when IDB got hacked. Finalhit just decided to why not switch while IDB was down, instead of casuing the same stir at a later time.
Eh... Without boing, I have no reason to go to iDB, other than to flaunt the n00bs.
well i like no boing people seeem to single me out
