I don't HAVE a wireless router, that's why I need the adapter. -__- So I guess ordering online it is, so I can play online at home. At college, I won't need it, entire campus has wireless access ^_^.
I have a wireless network adapter to use the internet on 3 computers, which we use as a kind of router, but it isnt classed as an official router ;_;

frustrating because i thought it would work, instead we have to fork out £27 (more than the cost of the game...) to buy the usb adapter Sad

btw how far is the range of the usb adapter? 10 metres?
Mario Kart DS recognizes my wireless network, but I get an error when trying to connect. Error 53100 or something like that.
What router do you have GIR? Like mine is a DI-614+. Look on your router and tell me the ID.
yeah thats the exact same problem i had
it finds the network, but when i go to connection test, its says unsuccessful, error 51300...

mines a Linksys WMP54G WirelessG USB Network Adapter
I was searching for how to fix that error, and someone said they entered the WEP Key manually and it worked.
i havent got a wep key enabled though ;_;
Ok, turns out I DO have a wireless router. I guess those antenna-things on it aren't just for decoration. Blush So here's my friend code and name:

The WEP key for the Access Point you are attempting to connect to has changed since you last connected.

What to do:

If you have multiple connection files saved to your Nintendo DS, the error message you received can help determine which connection file may be experiencing a problem:
o Errors ending in 0 = connection file 1
o Errors ending in 1 = connection file 2
o Errors ending in 2 = connection file 3
o Errors ending in 3 = Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector

* Verify the Access Point's WEP Key is entered correctly into the Nintendo DS. If your router has slots for more than one WEP key, the first (#1) must be the one selected on your router.

* If you need assistance with your router's settings, click here and select your router manufacturer and model number. If available, our router pages can provide specific steps and information that may help you with your router's WEP Key.

* Verify your router's MAC filtering is set to allow your Nintendo DS to use the access point. For more information on checking your router's settings, click here and select your router (if available).
Hmm, so somebody changed the WEP key without telling me. I'll have to fix that tomorrow...

EDIT: I have updated the list to include everybody that has posted up to this point, put it in a spoiler, and added myself, too Toungue .
