If it was your role, you could've stated it earlier instead after the forest got full. Anyways, if there's a limit to the forest, I doubt it'd be a good alternative to what I think you made up.

I don't know, the spreading of the plague seems like somewhat of a stretch (if it were to be), see as everyone comes back after night ends, which would essentially mean that anyone would be able to get it regardless of location. Maybe it's just a "kill a few people" one-time thing.
