Quick run-down of what Mario Kart DS will be like.

1. N64 style gameplay instead of GCN
2. 16 old tracks, 16 new tracks
3. 4 player Online VS, 8 player LAN Battle and VS


Now let's get to what's been revealed:

N. America: November 14, 2005
Europe: November 25, 2005
Japan: December 8, 2005

There will be unlockable characters as well.

Other features:

Mission mode: Complete certain goals or tasks within time limit or constraints.
Custom Decals: Create your own 32x32 decals for your karts.
Each cart has its own specs (speed, weight, acceleration)

BABY PARK + BLOCK CITY = INSTANT WIN!
And there are still 4 New Tracks and 8 Old Tracks remaining. Here's hoping Koopa Troopa Beach is one of them and that they have a cup filled with Rainbow Roads ^_^

You stole that list from GFaqs. I know because it's incomplete. :P The Spanish vids show a giant DS being one of the battle tracks.

If they have a rainbow road complete with the SMK music, I won't be able to not buy it. :D

huminah huminah huminah, can't wait! And once the online capabilities have been shown with this game, the DS will rightfully take it's crown as king of the hand held consoles and peace will return to the land!

Will it be easier than that mario kart on gamecube? :oops: I really like it, but I suck at it.

omighosh i wants~~~ :D

can you tell me how the online connecting will work? im pretty sure there isnt a hotspot in my house, but we have wireless networks so that we can share our internet conncetion beteen 3 computers, would i be able to connect to this?

edit: saw about that usb connection thing..but £30 seems a bit steep for the few online games that are coming in the next few months =/

That means you have a wireless router, you're already set to go =P You can also connect to any hot spot when you're on the go. My friends and I were playing badminton at some badminton court and one of their PSPs picked up a signal, so they truly are everywhere ^_^

Although I've heard that there might be no in game communication, which will really suck -_-; I know there won't be voice, and that text during the race is pointless, but we should have the ability to talk to those on our buddy list or something after races...

Oh, and you can have 60 people on your buddy list. I kinda wish it were more =/ I remember Maple Story...

Custom decals? Online play through Wi-Fi? On a DS? I'm in.

EDIT: Why not voice chat? There's a mic built in on every DS, so I'm imagining there probably will be.
