What if you get hit by all these blue shells and red shells? Does it still hurt you that much?
I get hit by a few, but it doesn't seem to affect me that badly... If you get hit by like 6 in one or two laps (happened to me once) you're probably screwed though...
Beginning to hate this game...>_> Using Yoshi and the computers cheat like hades. I know they pull stuff when not on screen, but holy crap! I haven't won a single cup because luigi keeps pulling mushrooms out his butt every time I get 1st place.
Made 1st on 3 of the 4 races then 8th on the final and got 2nd overall. I need Bowser jr back. O_o ..or Koopa troopa.
BTW, what's this "snaking" maybe that's why I'm sucking at this game. How do you snake? I think I'll keep playing Phoenix Wright and Snowboard kids. This game is ticking me off. >_> ...and I'm not using Bowser, I was using Yoshi.
I think the ranking has something to do with your placment each time you complete a lap, if I'm correct to get three stars you have to finish each lap in first place. I could be wrong though.
the reason the computer catches up is because the slipstream thing seems more effective in this mario kart, meaning they just follow you and eventually catch up quickly

Does it usually take a long time to find online opponents even when you're looking worldwide?
It does for me. National takes a bit as well. I use dry bones, I am working on the 3rd kart for everyone but I can only manage a silver on the star cup in 100cc. Daisy is okay, not near as good as dry bones. I also like DK with his rhino racer, pretty fast and knocks eveyrone out of my way. Bowser is too slow though.
It does take a little while, but shouldn't take that long
Why is it on 50 cc I can get 3-stars easy, but on 100cc, I can only get 2-stars max O_O

I've been playing double dash for the past year. the one thing I was glad to not see in MK DS was mirror mode... I unlocked mirror mode on Double dash on Dec. 23 and played nonstop until christmas when i got MK DS...now I have having mirror nightmares... and I'll be walking around and I'll walk the wrong way (mirrored).
and one thing that popped out at me was the multitude of spiky (blue) shells. a lot of the time, if I see one coming and I'm in first with someone right behind, i'll brake hard and hope it hits them instead. it actually does work
