Simple solution is, each time you log onto wifi, search Friends for a few seconds. That way you let people know you're online, and if they're online hopefully they'll ping back. If they're in the middle of a race they can ping back when they're done.

But what if someone wants to play, but no one is on at the moment? I'm not going to leave my ds on as I'm doing other stuff, and even if I did, I might not notice someone coming on.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, my choice of moo moo farm for the last race wasn't random. Too bad your course got chosen instead. If I remember correctly, moo moo farm was also the only course in my first match with firestorm (before I knew how to snake) when I could see the finish line at the end. What's up with moo moo farm? O_o

Moo Moo Farm is a difficult course to snake on. (Deceptively, because it's basically one long straightaway with minor turns.) The reason is that the walls are banked so it's hard to maintain a jumping motion (because you'll fly through the air and hit the wall) and there are too many slight bumps in the course (like at the beginning and right before the next to last set of item boxes).

Oh, and I'm practicing Egg 1 instead of Dry Bomber. I already took 2 seconds off my Baby Park time trial (48 seconds and a bit) and Figure 8 circuit (1:23-1:25, I'm too lazy to check).

notinuse were you doing that SSMT thing? ive seen people crazily going from side to side like you did to me, is that what it is? (SSMT = superslide mid track? im just guessing)

Yes. SSMT = something something (I can't remember) mini turbo. Also called snaking. Gives you a huge boost but it's difficult to pull off correctly.
