I think people should be at least to have 4 races? because you could get unlucky in 1 or 2, and then not show your true colors

how about...first round we have the 2 best people (you and firestorm because you've had it the longest) get a bye into the second round

so we have 12 people in 1st round - 3 matches of 4 people with the top 2 going through to the second round

we then have 8 people in the 2nd round, 2 races of 4 people, top 2 go through

3rd round we have 4 people, winner takes all

but shall we say the 6 people knocked out in the 1st round have like a play-off to decide final positions

I don't really like the idea of a tournament for this. There's way too large of a difference in skill levels. If there's a really good person against a not so good person in the first round, it's no fun for the not so good person. And if it's two really good people against each other in the first round, the second-best person could get eliminated immediately. Perhaps a league-type thing would be better, where everyone plays everyone else at least once, maybe more than once. And then everyone can be ranked by how many wins they got.

Well, that's for 1 on 1...I guess a points system could work for 4 player matches. But getting 4 people on at the same time could be difficult.

That's why I suggest a double elimination tournament.

I'm trying to create a suitable bracket in Bracket Maker to show what I mean.

Double Elimination would work best. 1v1 or 4 player... I find 1v1 kinda boring, but I don't think we have enough for many 4 player matches. I'm pretty sure notinuse and I are the most skilled right now, so we may as well get byes to the second round. We'll wait 'til 92% and Armi are WiFi capable.

Created a double elimination bracket that would work with 14 people. Basic idea is that the top 2 advance in each match except for the end matches.

on weekends it should be pretty easy...plus theres no excuse not to be able to play as you can take it anywhere

in a 4 player match anything could happen, if someone streaks ahead they could still get hit with 6 blue shells and end up losing, but im sure some of us must be about the same level

Actually, I was thinking that everyone plays everyone in the same number of games, and let's say you get 40 points and win that round. Whatever score you get, that keeps getting added on to whatever you get, and we can determine winners that way? Just as a thought

Wow, Notinuse just destroyed Spaz and me.

Me, Mike, Spaz, and Yoshidude were playing at one point, too... but Mike got disconnected.

Just played a game with Spaz, Notinuse, and ... someone else. Notinuse did not beat us, but rather he crushed us, sliced us into 1,000 little pieces, set all the peices aflame, and then fed us to some ultimate beast of power. Snaking is more useful than I thought, shame I can't do it. At all. At least I got second place. I did get really lucky with the lightning at the end of the forth race, I still got second place!

That someone else was me. I can barely snake.
